Read General Instructions Income Tax Returns

General Instructions for Returns until A.Y. 2020-21

 

  1. Select the Assessment Year

  2. Download and extract the zip file containing the utilities to the folder and open the utility

  3. System Requirements

  • Excel Utilities: Genuine, licensed Microsoft Excel version 2016 and later with macros enabled is required to support Excel utilities.

  • Java Utilities: Microsoft Windows 7/8/10, Linux and Mac OS 10.x with JRE (Java Runtime Environment) Version 8 with latest updates.

  • JRE can be downloaded from https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html

 

General Instructions for Returns from A.Y. 2021-22 onwards

 

  1. Select the Assessment Year

  2. Download and extract the zip file containing the utilities to the folder and open the utility

  3. System Requirements

  • Utility: 

Windows OS

Architecture: ia32, x36

Windows 7 or later are supported (ia64, x64 systems binaries will run on ia32)

Please note, the ARM version of windows is not supported.

 

Note:

  1. libstdc++ 6 ABI 1.3.8 or above in lower environments to function
  2. In linux the app should be run in a sandbox mode only.

Hardware:

Intel pentium processor or later that's SSE2 capable or AMD K10 or above core architecture 2 GB of RAM or more.

HDD:

700 MB or more of free space  

 

  • Excel Utilities:

    • Genuine, licensed Microsoft Excel version 2016 and later with macros enabled is required to support Excel utilities.
