As you aware, the extended due date before which the Income tax return will have to be filed is 31st December,2020 (Non-Audit Cases) and 31st January, 2021(Audit Cases) and also fees u/s 234F will be levied after due date.
Please do not wait till last date for filing the returns of your clients.

Also, for AY 2020-21, due date for submitting of audit report is, one month prior to the due date for furnishing the return of income under sub-section (1) of section 139. As the due date of filing of ITR for all the Audit cases is 31st January, 2021, due date for submission of Audit forms is 31st December, 2020.

Key points to remember with respect to filing of Audit reports:
1. Audit report in respective form needs to be submitted within above prescribed time to avoid penalties under Income Tax Act, 1961
2. Certain deductions/allowances is allowed only if the Audit reports are filed within due date
3. Income based deductions under Part C of Chapter VI-A is allowed only if respective audit forms is filed within due date
4. Audit report will be treated as filed only if "Valid UDIN has successfully been updated" and report is accepted by the assessee.
5. Please ensure to remind your clients to accept the audit report submitted well before the due date 31st December, 2020 to ensure compliance by law

Request you to submit audit report well before the due date to avoid inconvenience if any caused due to last minute rush. Request you to file early to avoid last minute rush due to traffic.
